Ingrid Jensen On Intonation
11 May 2016
Ingrid Jensen talks about tone and intonation, and practising with a drone from an Indian shruti box instead of a tuner.
Ingrid’s reputation as an educator is well-known. In 1990, she was appointed Professor of Jazz Trumpet at Bruckner University in Austria, the youngest to have been appointed in the role. Currently she is on the faculty of a number of colleges and jazz summer school programmes in the States including the New School in New York and the Vermont Jazz Center and gives masterclasses worldwide.
During her Orpheus Project tour in May/June 2016, she will be working with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, leading both the main band and the academy.
